Adopt

Fill out the application to begin the journey of adopting your new best friend!

Occasionally, dogs are available through Friends of the Shelter Dogs. They are in foster homes. Foster caregivers are happy to share with adopters what they know about living with their foster dogs, so if you have any questions about the dogs, please ask. The first step towards adopting/meeting the dogs is completing the adoption questionnaire located at the bottom of this page. FOSD dogs are $165 which includes spay/neuter, vaccines, heartworm test, heartworm and flea preventative, parasite treatment, and a license.

To view the dogs, you can go directly to FOSD's Petfinder page HERE.

The dogs pictured below are available through our county-operated dog shelter (which is a separate entity). To adopt one of those dogs, go to the shelter during their open hours to meet and adopt. Adoption through the Dog Shelter is $125 and includes a county dog license, dewormer, 5in1 vaccination, rabies, heartworm test and spay/neuter.
